The Three Lions Recall Bukayo Saka While Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden & Grealish Miss Out

Bukayo Saka in action

The Arsenal forward has recorded a dozen goals in 44 games for England.

The national side have included Bukayo Saka for next week's games against Wales and Latvia, yet there's no spot for Bellingham, Phil Foden or Grealish.

Arsenal forward Saka missed the previous qualifier successes against Andorra and Serbia with a muscle problem.

Saka made a comeback for his club and scored in their victory over Olympiacos on Wednesday.

Saka replaces Arsenal team-mate Noni Madueke, who is out of action till next month with a knee problem.

The Three Lions meet the Welsh in a friendly at the national stadium this week before a World Cup qualifier in Latvia on 14 October.

Should England triumph against Latvia, they will require a just two more points from their final two matches versus Serbia and Albania in November to qualify for next summer's tournament in Canada, Mexico and the United States.

Leverkusen's Quansah replaces Newcastle's Livramento, who is sidelined for two months after suffering a knee issue against the Gunners last weekend.

Elliot Anderson and Spence, who earned their maiden national team selections last month, retain their places. Ruben Loftus-Cheek also remains in the squad, even with the recovery of Wharton.

Saka has only played one game for Tuchel since taking over as England manager, due to injury concerns.

Bellingham missed the previous squad as he recovered from shoulder surgery and has managed just one start for his club since returning from injury.

The Manchester City player was left out from Tuchel's previous selection after a dip in performance and has been unsuccessful in returning, despite a impressive beginning to the campaign with Manchester City.

The forward also is excluded in spite of a revival in form on loan at Everton. The 30-year-old has not played for the national team since last year.

'Scrutiny on those left out rather than included'

The manager’s latest England squad draws attention on those the boss has omitted instead of the players he has selected.

Jude Bellingham's omission may raise some eyebrows but the coach believes there is no rush to recall the Madrid midfielder.

Manchester City's Foden and on-loan Everton forward Jack Grealish have both performed well in the early stages of the season.

Those who Tuchel utilised in England's qualifying victories against Andorra and Serbia deserve the reward of continuity.

It will bring regret that Arsenal's Noni Madueke is not involved because of a fitness issue.

The Forest player has settled well at international level.

Tuchel is a admirer of Grealish, especially, as well as the City star.

One unexpected move, it comes in the absence of Palace’s Adam Wharton.

The star, of course, will be needed further down the line.
